Zealous
God’s Attributes
Beloved, I hope you have enjoyed this series. I love a challenge and this was a challenge to write on a topic from A-Z in the month of April. So today on the last day of April, I write on God’s Attribute Zealous or Zeal. Zeal means a great energy or enthusiasm in pursuit of a cause or an objective.

God had passion, love, devotion for the Israelites. He has passion, love and devotion for those of us who believe in His Son Jesus Christ. Beloved, He has passion, love and devotion for you. God is love, because He loves us, we love Him.
I am reading, What Happens When Women Walk in Faith, by Lysa Terkeurst. In Chapter Twelve, she says, “God is calling you to live out His dream for you and part of the dream is for you to lead.” She shares in this chapter about Moses that Moses was reluctant to accept the call from God. Moses made several excuses, I am not able to speak, I stutter. However, what if Moses had trusted God immediately? God will equip us for any job He asks us to do for Him. Lysa Terkheurst shares, “God has given you a place of influence, and you are the right person for the job.”
God equips. God enables. God cares. God loves. God is zealous in His love for you.
The Lord shall go forth like a mighty man; He shall stir up His zeal like a man of war. He shall cry out, yes, shout aloud; He shall prevail against His enemies. Isaiah 42:13
“You shall not follow other gods, any of the gods of the peoples who surround you, for the LORD your God in the midst of you is a jealous God; otherwise the anger of the LORD your God will be kindled against you, and He will wipe you off the face of the earth.“You shall not put the LORD your God to the test, as you tested Him at Massah.” Deuteronomy 6:14-16
God has many attributes. As I read and prepare to write, I found many helpful sites on the attributes of God. To search bible verses I love the site http://biblehub.com as you can research any word. In Isaiah 63: 15-16, we read a prayer for mercy.
Look down from heaven and see from Your holy and glorious habitation; Where are Your zeal and Your mighty deeds? The stirrings of Your heart and Your compassion are restrained toward me. For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us And Israel does not recognize us. You, O LORD, are our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Your name.…
What is God asking you to do for Him? He is a zealous God, is there anything in your life that is more important to God.
Moses became a great leader when He let God work through Him. Moses treasured His relationship with God. God enables.
Father God, You are a zealous God. Your compassion is amazing, Your love is unending. I ask Father God that we honor you above any thing here on earth. Your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. I ask for each person Lord that is reading this prayer that you meet their needs physically, emotionally, financially, but most of all spiritually. I honor you God.
