Thankful to be Thankful-10

He was seventeen when he signed his name. He wanted to be a Marine, he did not want to be drafted into the Army. He was a boy, he became a warrior. He served in Vietnam but did not tell anyone when he first came home. Even though he was blown off a bunker and saved his troop. He was recognized by the President of the United States. Who is this hero? It is my brother, Dale.

Beloved, today I am thankful for our Veterans. My brother served in the Vietnam War and my dad served in WWII. Also, I’m thankful for the military men and women who are serving now.

King David served in the military and was in constant battle against King Saul.

Saul has slain his thousands, and David his tens of thousands.” 1 Samuel 18:7

King David was a man after God’s own heart.

My brother is an amazing man, he considers himself an x-warrior. He protected our country in an unpopular war. Today, I am thankful for Veterans. It is Veterans Day.

Father God thank you for the men and women that have served our country. Thank you for my brother and my dad who both served the United States of America. I pray for any woman that may be serving or for a mom that has a child in the service please keep them safe. In Jesus’ name Amen.

Who are you thankful for today?

May God bless your dad and your brother! I am so proud of my grandson! He too, at 17 years of age signed on the line. He is in the Navy, stationed in San Diego and will be heading to Hawaii in February. He has quickly grown from a boy to a man who just wants to serve our Country. Praying for all the men and women who so bravely sign and take the oath to protect and serve our Country, and for those who have bravely gone before them.
