Stopping for a cup of coffee, the 7-11 store is bustling with people rushing for coffee just as I am. A homeless man standing outside going through the trash looking for plastic bottles to recycle. Tattered and stained is his clothes but his eyes are bright and clear. A struggle inside of me because I want to be on time for work, yet a prompting to share what I just bought in the store. As I listen to the Holy Spirit, I turn my car engine back off, opening the boiled eggs I just bought, I grab an egg, cheese, and a bottle of water and I get back out of the car and approach the man. I hear my voice saying, “Would you like to share my breakfast?” as he accepts the food and says, “God Bless You.” I reply, “Blessings to you also.”

The Jesus you see in me is according to the grace of God. He spoke to me while at camp as a little girl of eleven. I accepted Jesus as my savior.

The Jesus you see in me is from the Holy Spirit. I find that as I have quiet time in the morning reading God’s word and praying that God open doors for me each day to share the love of Jesus.

The Jesus you see in me is God’s mercy that while I was a sinner Jesus died on the cross for my sins.

The Jesus you see in me is God’s love for God so loved the world that he gave his only son to die on a cross so that I may have eternal life.

The Jesus you see in me is God’s love because God first loved us.

The Jesus you see in me is my marching orders every day. I seek to serve Jesus. I strive at making a difference in someone’s life by listening and by caring.

The Jesus you see in me is the Holy Spirit prompting me to hug or to pray with a patient.

The Jesus you see in me is the Holy Spirit prompting me to write the words He gives me to share with you.

Beloved, God asks us to be the arms of Jesus every day.

Who is God asking you to serve today?

What is God asking you to share? Will you be the arms of Jesus?

Father God, we have so many examples of Jesus and the compassion He had for the disciples and those that He touched and healed. We have the parable of the good Samaritan. We have the story of the prodigal son that returned after squandering his inheritance away where the father was so thankful to see him that he gave sacrificially. We have the story of the widow who shared her bread with Elijah and the widow who gave her money to Jesus sacrificially. Father God, I pray for each that we are more aware of the men and women who are suffering in silence, then to become involved helping.

Even though my actions were small with the man who was homeless, I listened to that small still voice at my heart to help this man. Beloved are you listening to that still small voice and are you willing to be the arms of Jesus?

Yes! Sharing and reaching out to others is a very rewarding feeling. You, my dear friend, are so kind and giving. You have touched my life in so many ways, even though I have never met you face to face. Our Sunday school class always starts out with the teacher asking “where did you see Jesus this week?” I know what my answer will be this Sunday. I saw Jesus yesterday, when the UPS man rang my doorbell and handed me a package containing 2 beautiful Bibles, sent to me from an amazing lady, that has the heart of Jesus! Thank you Diana, not only for the Bible’s, but for being such an amazing inspiration in my life. Love, Rachelle ❤❤❤❤❤
