Tuesday at Ten-Choice

I do not know what happened but I read the word as real but the word is choice. I wrote a post on real and I have a choice to not link up or to write about the word choice.

Every day we have choices to make. Some of the choices are when to get up and when to go bed, what to eat, what to wear and we even have a choice of what we say.

What are some of the choices you make daily? Do you exercise today? Do you follow your eating plan? Do you get to work on time?  Do you spend time with the Lord?

Mary and Martha are sisters. Jesus came to their home. Martha was in the kitchen preparing a meal, but inwardly she was seething because her sister Mary was not helping. Mary made a choice to sit at the feet of Jesus and listen to him. Perhaps Jesus was sharing how he had healed the paralytic or the blind man. As the morning was fleeting, Martha kept herself busy. Oh her thoughts were rampant, her sister is lazy, her sister could help, Jesus must like her best. Finally, she brought her concerns to Jesus. Jesus lovingly told her that her choice to be busy and to not sit at his feet was not the best choice and that Mary had made the best choice.

Can you describe a time when you could have made a better choice? Have you ever made a choice you regretted?

Father God, daily we have a choice. You gave us the gift of free will. But with that gift comes a responsibility. Help each one of us to underwhelm our schedukes so you can overwhelm our soul because we have spent time with you. Lord help us take any negative thoughts captive to you so that we do not make a poor choice. Blessings

I am so glad I read this post. What a beautiful picture of the choices we have daily. This week I have been praying over a tough decision of my own, one I know to be right, but is very painful. This post is a great reminder of the beauty in even the toughest decisions if we are choosing to honor God.

Found this post through the Tusday @ 10 link up, & I’m so glad I did.

Oh my how many times have I made the wrong choice…with my kids, with my ex-husband, just life in general. Thankfully we have a loving a forgiving God. I don’t always make the right choice but I’m glad that I do have the “choice” to make that choice. Wonderful blog post Diana. Blessings to you my friend ~Shannan
