We Are More

Overcomers-e1455040379129

Beloved, we are more than conquerors? Do you believe this?   The movie War Room powerfully demonstrated how prayer works against evil. Currently I am studying the book Fervent by Priscilla Shirer with a group of women. Then I visited Holley Gerth.com, reading “What’s True About Us/No Matter What We May Hear” and I had just answered question on the study Fervent about how Satan doesn’t let us forget our past. Is it just a coincidence that I am aware of Satan and my anxiety? I Peter 5: 7-9 a

“casting all your anxiety on Him, because He cares for you. Be of sober spirit, be on the alert. Your adversary, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But resist him, firm in your faith.

How many times I hear in my head, ” you’re not good enough”, or “if that person only knew this about you.” But now when I hear those thoughts, I take the thought captive to the Lord and He tells me I am more than a conqueror, I am good, my past is in the past, I am redeemed.

Per Holley Gerth she will be starting a new series called “What’s True About Us” that will remind you of the truth of who you are and start helping you learn the art of spiritual self-defense. All she is asking you to do is show up, read one post a week and perhaps pass it along. {If you haven’t subscribed by email yet, I hope you will so that you don’t miss anything.)

In Fervent page 93, Satan as your enemy wants to remind you of your mistakes and poor choices. He’d wants to keep you burdened with shame and quilt but beloved God has forgiven you as far as east is from west.  2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creäture; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.’

Beloved, you are loved with an everlasting love. Do you believe this? If not, why not?

Amen! I love that God makes us more than conquerers (how cool is that–more than winners and overcomers!).
