Rest for the Weary
“All things have been handed over to Me by My Father; and no one knows the Son except the Father; nor does anyone know the Father except the Son, and anyone to whom the Son wills to reveal Him. “Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest.“Take My yoke upon you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS.…Matthew 11: 27-29

Beloved, when do you feel weary? I feel weary when I worry. What are you worrying about? I feel weary when I run ahead of God? Have you ever ran ahead of God? I feel weary when I am spiritually dry. How is your relationship with God? I feel weary when I overwhelm my schedule. How is your schedule, are you overbooked? I feel weary when I disagree with a love one. How are your personal relationships?

Jesus is the one to turn to when you are weary and need rest. Taking Jesus’ yoke by learning God’s word, going to church, reading Bible, and praying sets us a a apart.

I will refresh the weary and satisfy the faint.” Jeremiah 31:25

Beloved, find a quiet place and come to Jesus for refreshment.

I feel weary because of ongoing issues with my teenager. It’s a battle with him to get him through school. Stopping by from FMF linkup (I’m at #76 this week).

I feel weary during those times you mentioned above too. I’m parked in the #6 spot this week.

I feel weary when I do not release forgiveness to others. I feel weary when I try to insist on my own way. I am so thankful that God’s promise for the weary is to give us rest.
