When you give your heart to God and you claim His promises regardless what comes your way, His promises are your to claim. When you are feeling stress, he is the answer to stress. In Psalm 55:22, ” Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken.” When you feel helpless, he is your help. In Hebrews 4:16, “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.” When you are hopeless, he is hope. In Colossians 1:5, “the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel.” When you are struggling with faith, he is faithful. In 2 Thessalonians 3:3, But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.
Weekly, I look to the Lord to persevere. Some days are easier than others. Many of you know that I struggle with headaches so daily I never know how I am challenged. Working full-time I would not be able to call in sick every time my head hurt so I developed a strong work ethic from the above saying, “Just Keep Putting One Foot In Front Of The Other” and then God honors and helps you get through the day. I know how to get along with humble means, and I also know how to live in prosperity; in any and every circumstance I have learned the secret of being filled and going hungry, both of having abundance and suffering need. I can do all things through Him who strengthens me. Nevertheless, you have done well to share with me in my affliction.… Philippians 4: 12-14
Beloved, the Lord is whispering, “you are fearfully and wonderfully made.” Psalm 139:14
Father God, thank you for loving me. Each day that I walk with you and read your word. Some days it is hard for me to believe that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. The evil one convinces me that I am not worthy of your love. When I renounce these thoughts and fight for your love telling Satan, I am God’s child. I still can feel lingering doubt God, what is this Lord? The truth I know, I need scripture to chase doubts away. Thank you Lord for your word. In Jesus’ name Amen
