The LORD is a warrior; the LORD is his name. Exodus 15:3
“Let them give glory to the LORD And declare His praise in the coastlands. The LORD will go forth like a warrior, He will arouse His zeal like a man of war. He will utter a shout, yes, He will raise a war cry. He will prevail against His enemies. “I have kept silent for a long time, I have kept still and restrained Myself. Now like a woman in labor I will groan, I will both gasp and pant.” Isaiah 42: 12-14
Of the greatness of his government and peace there will be no end. He will reign on David’s throne and over his kingdom, establishing and upholding it with justice and righteousness from that time on and forever. The zeal of the LORD Almighty will accomplish this. Isaiah 9:7
LORD, your hand is lifted high, but they do not see it. Let them see your zeal for your people and be put to shame; let the fire reserved for your enemies consume them. Isaiah 26:11
He put on righteousness as his breastplate, and the helmet of salvation on his head; he put on the garments of vengeance and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak. Isaiah 59:17
The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD takes vengeance and is filled with wrath. The LORD takes vengeance on his foes and vents his wrath against his enemies. Nahum 1:2
Beloved, have you ever struggled with feelings of jealousy? Do you know we serve a jealous God? Have you ever thought about that he is jealous of the things that keep you away from Him? The LORD is a warrior. We too are a warriors and we need to put on our armor to fight daily Satan.
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one. Take the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6: 13-17
Daily, we each may serve God. Henry Blackaby in Experiencing God says that God is already at work around us and He invites us daily to join Him. Each day prepare to give an answer for the reason of my hope. I wear a cross necklace and a bracelet that has faith, hope, and love on it. Beloved, how about you ready to give the reason for your hope? How is your prayer life? This is where we need the shield of faith. How are you in reading the word? The sword of the Spirit prepares you to give that answer protecting your mind and heart.
Beloved God is zealous. Zealous for you.
As I come to the end of the series I hope you have enjoyed adoring God with me in this challenge in the month of April. Which was your favorite attribute or adoration? Blessings
