28 Days of Loving God – Day 25

Beloved, our word is changing–change is in the Bible seventy-four times. I love this verse in Romans 12. It is one verse that I wrote about in the 31 poems to live by. Action words create movement in our lives. Changing, transforming, renewing, all of these words require work.

What do you need to change in your life?

Creating a habit takes at least 21 days. For example, if you want to read your Bible, choose a book like the Psalms, then a day in advance schedule a time, then repeat, reading a portion of scripture each day.

Transformation takes place silently and quietly. The scripture says we are transformed with the renewing of our minds. When we read God’s word every day, peace comes over us; a transformation occurs as we begin to trust God with every situation.

Renewing our minds is a must. We renew our minds by taking our thoughts captive to the Lord. When we have a stinking opinion, we need to take the thought captive to the Lord. We change our thinking, and this renews our minds.

Freedom is ours if we only accept it. When we have Jesus as our Savior, we are blessed with the privilege of eternal life.

    Yes, we can change.

Father God, thank you for being a God who loves us as we are but loves us as we transform and change, in Jesus’s name. Amen.
