    31 Day Writings

Adventures on the dusty road involves belonging

Good afternoon, sweet friend, how are you doing? I wish you many blessings from the dusty road where I live here in Mansfield, Missouri. We probably have three miles of winding dusty roads to get to our house. We live by the “Rock House” that Laura Ingall’s daughter built for her. Many of you may have watched Little House on the Prairie. As a family, we certainly did.

Daily, on this road I see many critters. Just today, my husband had to rescue one of the goats who was caught in the fence.

We have a horse sanctuary on some of the acreage near us, goats, sheep, and cows. Additionally, there are deer, and the red cardinals are phenomenal. We even see a few racoons. Of course, at night this time of year, we have lightening bugs, and one can hear the crickets.

When I think of the beautiful nature that surrounds me, I am most thankful for God’s word that points us the fact that God loves us.

Paul, the apostle, writes in Ephesians 1 that before the foundation of the world, He (Jesus Christ) chose us to be set apart (holy) and to be blameless (forgiven). God knew that sin would enter the world. God was not surprised that Adam and Eve sinned. God had a plan–to redeem man–redeem those who believe in Jesus Christ. Beloved, I am redeemed. When did you accept Jesus as your savior?

For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him. Ephesians 1: 4

    Promises

Beloved, we are given promises from God, promises that will never be broken. We have eternal life a promise of everlasting life. However, until then we walk on a dusty road.

    Dusty Road

Weekly at the hospital, I pray for God to open doors for me to be utilized. Beloved, this week as a part of team meeting, the clinical supervisors, asked for prayer request, and then he prayed the most beautiful prayer in Jesus’s name. How is God using you in your vocation?

Personally, I have been reading God’s word and writing God’s word. I find much satisfaction in hearing God’s voice through the pages of the Bible. I hope that this blog finds you well.

As I study Ephesians, I was impressed that I was chosen by God and then I am sealed by the Holy Spirit. Sweet friend this is true of you, if you know Jesus as your Savior.

    Be Blessed.
