    Unwrapping the Names of Jesus-Day 2

    Beloved, I love this time of the year. All of the hustle and bustle, the music playing, the Christmas Trees that are decorated. I love to see the houses that are decorated and even the traffic lights and car lights reflect differently almost magical don’t you think?

    Yet the reason for the season is the birth of Jesus. Jesus is not some mythical character in a story, He is the Son of God. Jesus was at the beginning of Creation, His birth was foretold, yes, He was prophesied.

    Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over [g]all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth. Genesis 1:26. NKJV.

    For unto us a Child is born,
    Unto us a Son is given;
    And the government will be upon His shoulder.
    And His name will be called
    Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God,
    Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
    Of the increase of His government and peace
    There will be no end,
    Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom,
    To order it and establish it with judgment and justice
    From that time forward, even forever.
    The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this. Isaiah 9: 6-7. NKJV.

    Another verse that confirms that Jesus was with God at the beginning of creation is this verse in John,

    In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. John 1: 12, 14. NKJV.

    What will you do with this truth, Jesus’s name is Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace?

    Father God, today I will share the truth that Jesus is my Wonderful Counselor and as I unwrap the names of Jesus in my life may it bring me peace and may I share the love that Jesus has for us, in that He came as a baby, lived a perfect life and died on a cross for my sins. Yes, may I share the love of Jesus today? In Jesus’s name. Amen.
