Good morning, beloved friends, this week has been a costly week for my husband and I. Car repairs are costly. Do you know that we serve a God that never changes? Back in the day when praise music was becoming popular, we sang a song, Change My Heart Oh God. “Change my heart oh God, make it ever true, change my heart oh God, may I be like you.

Teaching
In his book, A God You May Not Know, Dr. David Jeremiah shares in Chapter 5- Knowing A Changeless God. Not only is our God Eternal, God is Changeless. Read with me the verse in Isaiah.
Isaiah 40:28 says, “Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
God never changes, does that give you comfort. In his book, Dr, Jeremiah reassures us
- His promises are unchangeable
- His purposes are unchangeable
- His provisions are unchangeable
- His personality is unchangeable
- His prophecies are unchangeable
Which of God’s promises are unchangeable and special to you? Quite personally I am thankful that I can count on God’s word to not change. One that I count on is that God hears my prayers. “I can do all things through Jesus Christ who gives me strength.” Philippians 4:16
What purpose has God given you? I know that my role in life was to be a wife and a mother, Then, I was given a promise as a twelve-year-old to be a missionary which I fulfilled in Nazareth and I feel like I deliver this on the weekends when I pray with patients.
What is a provision that you have received that was only something God could do? I have many examples in my life, one was a Christmas that we had no money and God provide as only He could.
God’s personality never changes, God is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow.
God’s prophecies are unchangeable; He will send his son and we are going to live in eternity.
Dusty Road
By the love of God, God is unchangeable. I have been studying about prayer, beloved, we need to pray. We need to stay attached to the vine. Spend time, in God’s word. Pray, Read John 15:1-17. What is your rhythm of prayer, where do you pray, when do you pray? Notice the role of Jesus, the role of God. Why should we pray? When I pray at work, I pray scripture. Will you choose a few verses to memorize to pray back to God. Also, I use a prayer journal from Eve Harrel called Revealed, she has 2 sizes, I use the 5 by 7. It has a blank page on the left and on the right the acronym ACTS. Adoration-Confession-Thanksgiving-Supplication. When I do not have many sins to confess, I confess who God is, after all he is the unchanging God. She is an amazing author and friend and writes Christian fiction and Bible studies. I am currently working on one in John that she did. Revealed Mercy, Revealed Truth, Revealed Courage, and Revealed Hope. You can get these books from Amazon.
Conclusion
Beloved, I spend time in prayer and writing God’s word. Colossian 2 and John 15. I had a dentist appointment and a radial ablation on my neck. My neck pain is so much better. I am most thankful for the opportunity to serve God. I am also feasting on the verse Psalm 16:8, I keep my eyes always on the Lord.
With him at my right hand, I will not be shaken. What about you? Who are you praying for? What fruit are you producing? What can I be praying for you? Will you pray with me for my journey this weekend? for those fighting cancer Lori, Carol, and Michelle, for those new to widowhood, Marylee. For those who are divorced and widowed. For the mom suffering with depression and not enough money to pay for the bill. Pray for those of us with chronic pain.
The praise song has the chorus, “You are the potter I am the clay, mold me and make me, this is what I pray. Change my heart oh God.” May we be thankful today for our unchanging God.
Father God, thank you that the verse in Philippians says I do not have to be anxious, thank you that I can bring my cares to you. Thank you that you do not change. You are an amazing God. In Jesus’s name, Amen
