    Practice Makes Perfect

Practice makes perfect. These are words to live by. My mother taught me that if you are going to do anything. it is worth doing it right. I often heard the words “right as rain.” Rain refreshes the earth.

    Scripture

What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? … Romans 6

    Read with me Psalm 103

    Thoughts

When I was sinning, I was sinning big. I ran from God in my years during college, I was filled with anger and hate. I worked my way through nursing school to divorce my husband.

However, God in his mercy would not leave me in the world.

He forgave me and restored my marriage.

Today, when I feel unloving, I practice being a loving wife. I will not allow the seed of discontentment to rule me.

Romans 6 talks about sin, and how wretched we can be. Psalm 103 talks about redemption.

I know first hand Psalm 103:8

The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy.

Will you join me in 2020 to read God’s word daily?

    Psalm 103 is my testimony.

    Conclusion

Practice does make perfect. I am perfected by God. He loves me so much. I love Him so much. He has given me so much.

Father God, thank you for redemption and forgiveness from sin. Thank you that in Jesus I have eternal life and nothing can separate me from the love of God. Thank you for your word. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Will you practice being in the presence of God daily?
