Blessed

Image result for blessed quotes Today is the day that the Lord has made I will rejoice and be glad. If you meet me at work and you ask me, “How are you?” My response is, “I am blessed!” Some are caught off guard, some respond, “Me too!” I am linking up with a special group of women for Tuesday at Ten where we write on a word that KarenBeth  from Finding The Grace From Within and today the word is BLESSED. In October I had a series 31 days of blessings it was the first time I wrote consistently for thirty-one days.   I suffer with chronic pain, some days are worse than others. I have chronic headaches sometimes the headache is a migraine. Beloved do you suffer with chronic pain. Perhaps fibromyalgia, chronic sinusitis, osteoarthritis, chronic fatigue syndrome, or like me a mix of head, joint and back pain.  In regards to chronic pain, I have two mottoes. One is “put one foot in front of the other and do what you have to do” and the second is “act as if!” Sometimes you just have to go and do what needs to be done and the pain is there and sometimes you have to act as if you have no pain and you just do what you have to do. When you suffer with chronic pain you may feel more fatigued, sometimes you really need to stay in bed and get some rest. In the mornings is the most difficult time for me. So when I wake up with a headache there seems to be different degrees of pain. Sometimes, I just need to take a couple of Tylenol and wait a few minutes and I am good to go. But there are other times that I am not going anywhere until I can gain control of the headache. It is during this time that I argue with myself on whether I am too sick to go to work. Usually work wins and I pry myself out of bed and put one foot in front of the other and I go. Blessed 1 Beloved I am blessed, are you?  I love to count my blessings. Each day I have a faithful God who loves me. Each day I have a choice to be a blessing. Each day I have more blessings than I can count. Today my beloved be a blessing to someone because we are blessed.

The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.” (Numbers 6:24-26)

I love Matthew Redman’s song 10,000 Reasons. Please take a few minutes and be blessed. 10,000 reasons for my heart to find, I worship Your Holy Name. Bless the Lord O my soul, worship His Holy name. Father God, as I count my blessings, I am reminded that You have given me every good gift. Lord I ask for the person reading this that may not feel blessed right now because of heartaches and pain that You become real to her and she celebrate the blessings in her life. Lord this is the day to rejoice and be glad. Thank you for Your word, thank You that this week we are reminded of the cost. Your precious Son died on the cross and conquered death rising again so that I may be forgiven and have eternal life. Lord for those hurting with emotional pain, You are the only one who can meet her needs. For the woman who is struggling because of physical pain, will You give her an extra measure of grace today. Thank You that each day I can come before You, I can read Your word, I can write about all the amazing blessings that each of us has in spite of our troubles and pain. Help each one of us be a blessing to someone, today. Amen. Today, will you smile a little more? Will you give your husband a great big hug and thank him for what he has done for you today? Will you kiss your children and tell each of them what they mean to you? Will you give a bottle of water to a homeless person? Will you buy a cup of coffee for a friend? Will you write a letter to a friend or a loved one? Will you take your dog for a walk and thank God for the blessings you have in your life? Will you put one foot in front of the other and act as if until the acting is not acting? Will you count your blessings and name them one by one? Will you dance for your Lord? Will you pray? [Tweet “Will you experience God today and thank Him for blessing you? “]
