Giving Thanks

When the month of November arrives, it seems like time picks up speed and the next thing you know it is January. November is my favorite month. One reason is the time changes back to standard time. I know I am in the minority but having the sunlight in the morning is one of my favorite things. Another reason, November has beautiful fall colors from the orange pumpkins, to the tree leaves changing colors from green to the various colors of red, brown, and orange. November is time when one can get a pumpkin latte, and buy pumpkin spice creamers, seriously couldn’t Nestle’ make Pumpkin Spice Creamer all year round.  In November we celebrate Thanksgiving.  Thanksgiving is a holiday with no expectations. Thanksgiving Day is a time when families and friends gather to have a meal together reflecting on the goodness in our lives. Lastly, November is a time when people express thankfulness, share blessings and favorite things.

The Sound of Music has a song My Favorite Things that runs through my mind when I think of listing my favorite things,  “Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, Bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens, Brown paper packages tied up with strings, These are a few of my favorite things.”

I have decided to enter another writing challenge. November is a time for National Blogging Month (NABLOPOMO) so since writing is one of my favorite things  I will write devotionals on thankfulness and favorite things.  What are you thankful for and what are some of your favorite things?

Thank you for reading this series on Thankfulness.  I feel sad that this is the end of this series. I am always sad at the end of a good book and often re-read the ending of the book several times. I hope you enjoyed.
