Last night I was writing this as I worked yesterday and I hit a key and ended up with a virus on my computer. So here I am a day late writing a Sunday Psalm. King David writes this Psalm after his affair with Bathsheba. King David had been a model King but during a time of what we would call down time, a time of boredom, he saw a beautiful woman, and he should have occupied himself with war plans but he found himself filled with desire for a beautiful woman on a balcony. He sent for her and a pregnancy resulted, he tried to cover that sin by having her husband come in from the front lines but her husband did not sleep with her. So King David had him send back out in the war and he dies. A year passes and the baby did not live. King David was in denial of his wrong doing and so the prophet Nathan comes and confronts him. He repents and writes this Psalm.

Then I acknowledged my sin to you and did not cover up my iniquity. I said, “I will confess my transgressions to the Lord.”

And you forgave the guilt of my sin. Psalm 32: 5

King David restored to full fellowship with the Lord. The Lord is willing to instruct us and teach us in the way we should go. Are you in need of a Savior? Jesus loving eyes are on us, God counsels us, his eyes are on us. God’s unfailing love surrounds those of us who trusts him. Do you trust him?
