Running has never been once of my favorite things to do. My physical education teacher Mrs. Kent would roll her eyes and tell me that we did not have all day to complete running the track. When I was in my thirty’s, I decided to run a 10K race and the brochure said slight hills. They lied it was out-and-out hills. I do not remember my time but I completed the race. Is running something you enjoy?

Beloved, there is a race we need to run. Are you ready to run, run, run this race called the Christian adventure?

Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like
a boxer beating the air. So I run with purpose in every step. …1 Corinthians  9:26

I run in the path of your commands, for you have broadened my understanding. I will
run in the way of your commandments when you enlarge my heart! …Psalm 119:32

Are you reading God’s word daily? Are you praying daily bringing your request and thanksgiving to God? Are you willing to share your testimony, to give the reason for your hope?

Paul writes, “to run with purpose in every step.” This is the day that the Lord has made, I will rejoice and be glad. Beloved, what is God asking you to do for Him?

In the Old Testament, Jabez prayed this prayer. 1 Chronicles 4:10

Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, “Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain.” And God granted his request.

Will you run the race for God? Will you walk/run with Jesus every day? Beloved, if you have run from God, will you stop and finish the race with Jesus?

Here is my favorite exercise verse–)

They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they
will walk and not be faint. They will run and not grow weary. … Isaiah 40:31

Diana, I don’t like to run. Actually I’m quite fast, but have always struggled with the endurance part. But God calls us to run, run with endurance, run for the prize.
Love your post. Yes, let us run the race of excellence!
    Blessings to you,

    Christy

I was a good runner as a kid but since I am and adult and now disabled, if I had to run I would probably end up in the hospital, lol. No really 🙂 But I am ready to run the race for God. I am right there beside you. ~Shannan
