28 Days of Loving God – Day 7

28 Days of Loving God -Day 7

Beloved, our word today is worthy. Worthy is in the Bible forty-eight times. The verse in Revelation 4 is about God and then we can see in this verse that  Jesus is worthy to receive our praise.

In a loud voice they were saying: “Worthy is the Lamb, who was slain, to receive power and wealth and wisdom and strength and honor and glory and praise!” Revelation 5:12. KJV.

However, sometimes, I have struggled to feel worthy. Often times seeking another person’s approval. When in reality, God’s approval is the only approval we need and we have his approval. He tells us that if we make a mistake (sin), He is faithful and will forgive us.

If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.

1 John 1 :9 NIV.

Additionally, God forgives us as far as the east is from the west,

For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us. Psalm 103: 11-12

But more importantly, God loves us and has compassion on us.

As a father has compassion on his children,
so the Lord has compassion on those who fear him; Psalm 103: 13.

Yes, sweet friend, we are loved with an everlasting love as stated in Jeremiah 31:3

The only reason we are worthy is because God has made us worthy. We are worthy, righteous, loved, treasured, because God created us in His image we can love others as He loves us.

Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise; his greatness no one can fathom. Psalm 145:3.

Father God, thank you that I do not have to struggle with feeling worthy, because of your love, I am worthy. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
