Marching Forward With Joy -Day 1

25 Days of Marching with Joy- Day 1

Beloved, we turned a corner a few days ago. Although spring is later this month, the mere mention of March brings joy. We had several warm days. However, today we are expecting rain. And as I speak, I can hear the thunder rumbling.

This month let’s focus on joy. It is the second fruit of the spirit. JOY,

Joy starts with praise.

Lord, you are my God; I will exalt you and praise your name, for in perfect faithfulness you have done wonderful things, things planned long ago. Isaiah 25:1.

Additionally, joy starts within you. We all have a choice each day of how we react to the world. Daily, we have control over our attitude.

The best I ever read on attitude is by Charles Swindoll,

“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past than education, than money, than circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company… a church… a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we embrace for that day. We cannot change our past… we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play the one string we have, and that is our attitude… I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it.

And so it is with you… we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

So for today, write and begin to learn the fruit of the spirit.

But thefruitoftheSpirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galations 5:22-23.

Focus on being joyful this month.

Father God, thank you for Jesus in our lives which gives us the reason for JOY. In Jesus’ name Amen
