Good morning, beloved friends, do you know that God is an all-knowing God? Last week we discussed that God is Good. In his book, The God You May Not Know, Dr. David Jeremiah asks in Chapter 8, “Has it occurred to you that nothing occurs to God? That is, He never just remembers something, never has a new thought popping into His mind, never has something slip from His memory.”
God is omniscient! In Ezekiel 11:5, the Bible says, “I know the things that come in your mind,” and in 1 John 3:20, “God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. We read in Acts 15:18, “Known to God from eternity are all His works,” and in Isaiah 46: 9-10, “I am God and there is none like Me, declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times things that are not yet done.”
Teaching
I am really enjoying this book, the reflections Dr. David Jeremiah shares have enriched my understanding of who God is. God is good, God is all knowing. He is omniscient. He has never not known each one of us isn’t that mind boggling.
In Matthew 10:30 the scripture says, “But the very hairs of your head are all numbered. In the book of Job 14: 16, “You number my steps.”
God knows when we confess our sins and the sincerity of our confession. God’s word declares in 1 Kings 8:39, “You alone know the hearts of all the sons of men.” And in Psalm 33:13, “The Lord looks from heaven, He sees all the sons of men.
In the scripture meme, Hebrews 1:3a states that Jesus is the radiance of God’s glory and the exact representation of his being, sustaining all things by His wonderful power his word. Jesus is God’s son and we have fellowship with God because of Jesus. We have the wonderful knowledge that Jesus gave his life so that we have eternal life.
God hears our prayers. God understands and knows about our needs and our sufferings. God is all-knowing. He is omniscient.
Dusty Road
Beloved, I do not know what you might be struggling with, but God does. We can trust God because he is omniscience. We have that the ways of God are not our ways and often are to be pondered. Read with me in Isaiah 55: 8-9,
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.
9 “As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I meet people struggling with health issues at work and besides my services as a case manager, I often ask if I can pray for the patient. I pray God’s word for healing.
Conclusion
We do not have to lean on our own understanding because God is omniscient. God is good, God is all-knowing. I am certainly thankful that he knows me, what about you?
Father God, you are an all-knowing God and you love me anyways. Thank you for going before me and for saving my soul. Thank you for your love. In Jesus’s name, amen.
