Beloved, the dusty road has not been traveled for two days, and this next week I am on vacation. Fall is one of my favorite seasons, the trees on our road are beginning to change colors. I am in Missouri and the leaves of the trees are beautiful this time of the year. God’s word is vibrant, the verses shade your life providing wisdom and hope.
Read with me our verse,
For whatever things were written before were written for our learning, the we through the patience and comfort of the Scriptures might have hope. Romans 15:4

Beloved our word is hope. Hope’s definition is a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen. Hope is in the Bible 180 times.
Read with me how God is our hope in this verse,
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15: 13.

Hope is like a road in the country; there was never a road, but when many people walk on it, the road comes into existence.
Thoughts
Quite personally, some days are hard on the dusty road. Are you like me my friend, and sometimes the weight of the world is on your shoulders? On those days hope seems fleeting, something that cannot be grasped. My motto of putting one foot in front of the other has served me well. Similar to knowing that with God’s help I will get through the day. Then, something happens, you take a deep breath and you realize that with God on your side, all will be okay.

Be strong and take heart, all you who hope in the Lord. Psalm 31:24
But the eyes of the Lord are on those who fear him, on those whose hope is in his unfailing love,
We wait on you, Lord, you are our hope and our Shield. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you. Psalm 33: 20,22.
My son will leave tomorrow for his new adventure. I’ve grown so close to him and seeing him is such a joy. Yet, God has a bigger plan for him. Beloved, he has a plan for you also.
I have saved the best verse for last.
For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
Oh, on this dusty road we walk, we have to let go of our children and let them go on adventures with God. We have to trust that God who is the hope of my life will keep him safe. I continue in my personal journey of praying, reading the scripture. I am witnessing to who will listen, Jesus is my savior, God is our hope.
We have to tell the truth that Jesus is our very reason for living. This is why we have hope.
Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6
We have to read and know God’s word.
Prayer
Father God, You are the alpha and the omega, the beginning and the end, you are our hope. Lord, help us be a witness for you. In Jesus’s name. Amen
