Good morning, beloved friends. we love God because He first loved us. In Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The God You May Not Know, in Chapter 11, he declares “God Is Love.”
Where would we be without the love of God? Sometimes I wonder why people do not believe in God. The scripture says that we are without excuse because creation speaks loudly of God. In reality, people are without excuse.
Teaching
As I was teaching Sunday School one day, we were working on God’s love, admittedly I had the verse wrong, ‘We love because God loves us.” But the verse says, “We love God because He first loved us.” In our very being, our conscience is in tune with God.
When God made us, He placed a God vacuum inside of us, that only He can fulfill. The Holy Spirit testifies with God and even when we do not know how to pray, the Holy Spirit enables us to commune with God.
Yes, “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only Son, so that those who believe in Him will have eternal life.” John 3:16
The good news, the Gospel message in a nutshell. God loves us. When sin entered the world, God had a plan. Romans 5:8 says, “God demonstrated His own love for us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”
Beloved, Jesus gave His life so that we can have eternal life and that life doesn’t start in the future, it starts now.
God is love, He loves you before you clean up your baggage. He loves the worst of us and the best of us. He does not have favorites. I learned this in my study of Romans 2.
Great is His faithfulness.
Dusty Road
I am often taxed with trying to solve a problem for a patient at work. It is always helpful for me to remember that I am not alone in solving the problem. Beloved, the same is true for us today. I know that most of us are believers and so we have support but how many times do we forget to talk to God about out problems. God is righteous, we have His righteousness. God is good, we have His goodness. God is love and we have His love. I Peter 5:7 says, He cares for us.
Conclusion
Beloved, God is love. Ultimately, his strongest attribute. From His love He gave us Jesus. What area of your life do you need to trust God more?
Father God, your word says you are rich in mercy, and that you love us so much that you gave us your son. Thank You for Jesus and the forgiveness of sins and eternal life.
