Good morning, beloved friends, today on the dusty road a baby goat escaped the fencing and was on the road. By the time, we back the car to rescue the goat, he had found his way back through the fence to safety and to the call of his mama. My husband was ready to rescue this little one.
Daily, we all have talents that we are given from God that we have the ability to use. What are spiritual gifts. As I continue to read Dr. David Jeremiah’s book, The Holy Spirit You May Not Know, each one of us are given spiritual gifts. 
Teaching
When we get to heaven, we will enter his court with thanksgiving and praise. One of the spiritual gifts is the gift of encouragement.
In Chapter 8 of this wonderful book Dr. David Jeremiah states our spiritual gifts are different than the Fruit of the Spirit. Remember the fruit of the Spirit is found in Galatians 5.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. Galatians 5: 22-23.
Dr. David Jeremiah says the fruit of Spirit has to do with who we are and the gifts of the Spirit are tied to what we do for the Lord and how we serve Him. Personally, I had not thought of this. Do you believe that God is the giver of every good gift?
Beloved, the Bible, covers the gifts of the Spirit in Romans 12, 1 Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4. In his book, Dr. David Jeremiah challenges us to read those chapters for ourselves.
The first gift we are given is the gift of salvation. It is a free gift from Jesus when we accept him as our personal savior. After we have Jesus as our savior, the Holy Spirit gives us our Spiritual gifts. From there we all have a special gift where we can show faith and demonstrate hospitality. The gifts we have are to edify believers, and the second purpose is to establish believers, and lastly to exalt Christ. Dr. Jeremiah says if you have the gift of speaking, then speak for the glory of God. If you have the gift of serving, then serve God with all your heart. If you have the gift of teaching, then study and teach creatively.
There are many spiritual-gift test that you can take. However, I feel that we all know where we are gifted. I know that I am great at mentoring women, so I know that I have the gift of encouragement. What is your spiritual gift?
Dusty Road
This last weekend there were many traumas in the ICU’s. My role is to formulate a discharge plan in the early stages, gather information, but my greater role is to comfort the relative I am speaking with and often the Lord will open the door, and I am able to pray. This is when I know that I know that I know the Holy Spirit has given me the gift of encouragement. Whether I am at the hospital or on my way home on the dusty road I want my light to shine for Jesus. I think my husband is a gifted goat whisperer.
Conclusion
Father God, you are the alpha and the omega. we are so thankful for the Fruit of the Spirit and the Gifs of the Spirit. You are the giver of every good gift. Father God for the woman that has the gift of hospitality, let her shine. Father God for the woman that has the gift of encouragement, let her shine. For the woman who has the gift of teaching, let her shine. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
