God Is In Control

“The Lord is my rock, and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.” Psalm 18:2, KJV.

I love hymns, and I love to sing. When I was little, pretending to be a singer, teacher, Sunday School teacher, or a mom, one would find me playing the different parts. When my dad was honored for sixty years of being a minister, my brother came with his family, including a step-daughter. She started playing with one of the girls at the party, and they went into the church and stood at the pulpit and began to sing. It is one of my sweetest memories. Beloved, what are some of your memories?

King David

In our verse in Psalm,  King David declares that God is a rock, a fortress. For many years, King David feared for his life; his enemy was King Saul. King Saul was jealous of David. King David hid in caves and behind rocks and, at one point, was hiding in a cave, and Saul entered, and King David could have killed him but refrained from harming King Saul.

I write today on the day of the election for our next president. Regardless of what political party you are, the United States people have a duty to elect the next president. When you are reading this, beloved the president will be declared.

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalm 46:1 KJV.

My prayer is for our country to come together regardless of the outcome. Beloved, God is in charge. God is in control. God can use all circumstances to bring about His purpose for the United States, and you and me.

Let’s praise God today. Will you sing with me? How Great Thou Art.

Conclusion

Some of my fondest memories are of singing and trusting God. I never became a soloist but I still love to sing.

Father God, Today is not a surprise to You. You are the alpha, the omega, the beginning, and the end. Lord, I am trusting you with my today’s and my tomorrow’s. Be with us and bless us, Lord. Lord, please heal the unrest in this country. You say in 2 Chronicles that if we repent, you will heal our land. Please heal the land of the Corona Virus. May we remember that nothing can separate us from Your love. Lord, please bring us to surrender of our wills. Let us say, wherever You lead; I will go. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Regardless of who the president is, will you trust God? will you pray for the president?

Will you sing with me? Today is a day of rejoicing. What is your favorite hymn? Will, you read His Word? Will you pray?
