Whispers

God whispers know me in the quiet of your heart.

God whispers know me in the quiet of your heart.

When did you ask Jesus to be your savior? I have known Jesus personally since I was eleven years old. As I sat quietly under a tree at camp, I asked Jesus to forgive me of my sins and to live in my heart.

You see beloved, this is the most important action we can do, and that is to ask Jesus to become your savior.

Romans 3:23 says that all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. And in Romans 5: 8, we read that Jesus demonstrated his love for us in that while we were still sinners, he died for us. Then in Romans 8: 37-39 there is nothing that can separate us from the love of God.

So why do we know someone that has not asked Jesus to forgive his or her sin? What prevents this from occuring? I sometimes think that the person who is not accepting Jesus as the way, the truth, and the life, have not listened to that knock at the door of their heart.

In Revelation 3:20, we read these words, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he with me.’

Perhaps, the person is not being quiet to hear that knock.

Beloved, for those of us who have heard Jesus and have accepted him as our savior, is he knocking at your door for a different reason.

What might God be asking you to do for him? Will you be quiet before the Lord, and listen?

“It is good that one should wait quietly for the salvation of the LORD.” Lamentations 3:26 ESV,
