How to grow close to God is three easy lessons, pray, pray, and pray. God is so good that He gave us prayer as a vehicle to grow closer to God. We can tell God everything. In James 4: 7-8,
Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you. Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double minded. James 4: 7-8.
A man that hath friends must shew himself friendly: and there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother. Proverbs 18:24.
When we submit to God, we resist the devil, this renders the devil ineffective, the verse says if we resist, the devil will flee from us. Then when we draw near to God, God draws near to us. God is our friend.
Father God, let me draw close to you, let me be a witness for you.
