How important is God’s Word to You?

Introduction

Reading God’s word is important to me. Is reading God’s word important to you?

2 Timothy 3 16

Scripture,

17 Deal bountifully with thy servant, that I may live, and keep thy word.

18 Open thou mine eyes, that I may behold wondrous things out of thy law.

19 I am a stranger in the earth: hide not thy commandments from me.

20 My soul breaketh for the longing that it hath unto thy judgments at all times.

21 Thou hast rebuked the proud that are cursed, which do err from thy commandments.

22 Remove from me reproach and contempt; for I have kept thy testimonies.

23 Princes also did sit and speak against me: but thy servant did meditate in thy statutes.

24 Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors.

First,

The Psalmist request that God will deal bountiful and open his eyes.  Have you ever asked God to open your eyes?

Open the eyes of my heart, Lord a popular praise song declares that prayer.

Personally, I want to be so in touch with the Lord, that evil does not touch my life.

Thus,

But even if there are trials, I want to be found by the Lord reading and meditating on His Word.

Do you have a time of reading God’s Word?

So,

Read God’s word daily.

Father God, Your Words are my delight and my counselors. Thank you for the conviction of Your Words. In Jesus name, Amen.

Will you start reading God’s Word daily?
