How to follow God’s path?

How to follow God’s path?

I live vicariously– a friend who loves to hike. She posts on Facebook the trails and the mountains she climbs. Recently on her vacation, she posted the path to the hiking trail. Glimpsing at the beauty of God from her pictures, many of the courses she posts are breathtakingly beautiful.

Our word today is the path. Path’s definition is a way or track laid down for walking or made by continual treading. The path is in the Bible 79 times. Perhaps, the most famous is verse is in Psalm,

Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path. Psalm 119:105

Path

Another favorite:

You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.

Psalm 16:11.

A way, the way directed by God.

Show me Your ways, O Lord; Teach me Your paths. Psalm 25:4.

God loves us, and he leads our paths.

How has God directed your path?

I would not have met my friend that loves to hike had God not directed my path in becoming a nurse. Disabled from migraine headaches, I returned to school and became a medical assistant. Discovering that I could succeed, I persevered and became a registered nurse– a path that God wanted for me. My best yes for God.

Recently, I returned to work as a nurse, coming out of retirement–my best yes at this time of my life. May I be used as I hike this trail? To walk on God’s path, one must pray and read God’s Word daily.

Prayer

Father God, one day and one path at a time, and these paths lead to you. So would you please help us walk on the way that you have for each one of us? In Jesus’s name, amen.

Each hike my friend takes, she posts beautiful pictures glimpsing at the beauty of God’s creation. I stand in awe of the beauty that surrounds us.

Tell me about the path God has for you?
