28 Day

Reflection–We will see clearly in Heaven

Beloved, our word is reflection, found once in the Bible. Reflection means to ponder what was said or the throwing back by a body or surface of light, heat, or sound without absorbing it. So when we look in the mirror, we see a reflection in the mirror or the lake.

This verse in 1 Corinthians tells of how we sometimes look at the circumstances of our lives and do not see how God is working, but then when we get through the rough murky times, we can see how God worked things out.

Troubles

King David had this happen to him, he was on the run from Saul, and Saul was killed. King David and Bathsheba lost their first child, but then they had Solomon. Often we have to claim Romans 8:28

And we know that [a]God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28.

As a child of God, we also can reflect on God’s goodness. He is good all the time, and all the time, he is good.

When we get to heaven, we will see clearly.

Deliverance

“I love You, O Lord, my strength.”
The Lord is my [b]rock and my fortress and my deliverer,
My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge;
My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised,
And I am saved from my enemies. Psalm 18: 1-3

Today, let us reflect and echo these words in our King David prayer.

Father God, create a clean heart, search me, and see if I have any anxiety or worry. Thank You that I am fearfully and wonderfully made. I love you, Lord; You are my strength. As I reflect, thank you that you are my God. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

Yes! I stand on Romans 8:28. So many times I could not see where God was working in my life; but then when I looked back, when I reflected, I could see where He had worked things out. His timing is perfect!

I know David could say the same things. He certainly had an eventful life, but God made a promise to David, and it has truly came to pass. Jesus, from David’s lineage, came to rule and reign, and one day, all the world will see it!

Dear Jerralea, King David was a man from God’s own heart. He certainly did his part and we have Jesus. Blessings Diana
