31 Day Writings

Rejoice, nothing better than rejoicing to lift your spirit.

Beloved, today is a day to rejoice!

Rejoice is in the Bible 202 times.

Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, rejoice! Let your gentle spirit be known to all people. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. …Philippians 4:4-9

A song goes with this: Rejoice in the Lord, always again, I say rejoice.

Concern

There is so much sadness in the world and so much angst; people are so angry. One can not get in the car and not see the road rage.

Daily, I see God working at the hospital. As the opportunity presents itself, I offer to pray for the healing miracle. I never know how God will answer my prayer. Two weeks ago, one sweet lady in the space of a week, God, in his infinite grace, liberated her from the ventilator. He allowed me to be involved in praying for the miracle.

Goodness

You see, God is good.

In his amazing work “Experiencing God,” Henry Blackaby says that God is at work all around us, and He invites us to join in.

I will rejoice and be jubilant in You; I will sing praise to Your name, O Most High. Psalm 9:2

King David knew how to rejoice in the Lord. He was not afraid to praise the holiest God.

My soul will make its boast in the Lord; The humble will hear it and rejoice. Psalm 34: 2

There is nothing better than to praise God to lift your spirit.

Prayer

Father God,

You are a good God, one I can rejoice in. You are my refuge and my strength. I do not have to be afraid. I am in awe of you and your mercy. In Jesus’s name. Amen

What are you praising God for today? What can I pray for you today?
