31 Day Writings

Test are never fun but sometimes they are necessary.

Beloved, our word today is the test which means a procedure intended to establish the quality, performance, or reliability of something, especially before it is taken into widespread use. We see it used in the Bible over 300 times. Abraham had to pass a test; he was asked to sacrifice Issac. The Israelites were sent manna daily; they collected just enough manna to eat daily.

Then the Lord said to Moses, “Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a day’s portion every day, so that I may test them, whether or not they will walk in My instruction. Exodus 16:4.

Life

Tomorrow is an important day in my grandson’s life. He will take the entrance exam for the Army. He wants to serve his country. This last weekend he turned 18, and the weekend before, he was baptized. All these milestones have made me so proud of him, and of course, graduation is coming in May.

Special Occasions

These special occasions bring joy and fellowship into one’s life. Would you stop and say a prayer for Hunter that he can pass this test? His future will be bright because the Lord blesses it.

Trials

Beloved in the New Testament, the book of James says that we will have many tests and trials in our lives.

Read with me,

James, a bond-servant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ,

To the twelve tribes who are dispersed abroad: Greetings.

Consider it all joy, my brothers and sisters, when you encounter various [c]trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces [d]endurance. James 1: 1-3

Just as Hunter will physically take a test tomorrow, you might face a trial or struggle; count on the fact that God is with you.

Prayer

Father God,

I thank you that you love Hunter and you are going before him and working out his future. I pray for recall as he takes this test that he may pass this entrance exam. Lord, I pray that the woman who may be struggling in a trial will trust you and run the race with endurance. In Jesus’s name, amen.

In conclusion, God’s word says we can ask for wisdom for our trial, but we have to ask.

What circumstance are you in that feels like a test?
