Unpacking 31 Verses to Live By – Day 16
Beloved, this verse means a lot to me, I used to teach first-grade students, and this verse was one I loved to teach them, and one year we had them perform a little song for their parents singing the words. “I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, plans to give you hope and a future.”
Do you trust God with your hopes, dreams, and plans? It is easy to do when things are going well, but do you still trust God when things hit a rough.
Ultimately it is trust and obeys, for there is no other way to be happy in Jesus but to trust and obey. That is what the song “Trust and Obey” says. God says it similarly in Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall [a]direct your paths.
We can trust God with our plans. Not only our goals but our hopes and dreams. He gives us the desires of our hearts when the passions are in His will.
Beloved, we have some great promises in the Old Testament, and Jeremiah 29:11 is one such promise.
Will you trust God with your plans and your future?
