Unpacking 31 Verses To Live By – Day 18
Beloved, if you are sitting in a chair, you have faith. If you have driven a car, you have faith. However, there is only one legitimate object of our faith and that is Jesus. The verse today is the opening verse to the hall of faith. It is a walk down memories lane– a faith lane. Where faith intersects with life.
It starts with the world being spoken at God’s command, the writer of Hebrews highlights Abraham, Issac, and Jacob’s life. Additionally, the mention of the women such as Rahab. Something I forgot was the mention of those who were martyred and yet many are mentioned here in this chapter.
This verse is the basis for our faith.
When did you accept Jesus as your Savior?
Just like there is a chapter of faith: as a child of God, our names are written in the Lamb’s Book of Life, is your name, written there?
This is a great verse to memorize.
Father God, thank you for Jesus, the object of our faith. In Jesus’s name, Amen.
