31 Day Writings

When have you failed?

When have you failed?

Beloved, failure is a part of life, but some fear failure. Our word fails and is in the Bible 84 times.  John F. Kennedy said, “Those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.”  The definition of fail is unsuccessful in achieving one’s goal.

God’s love is unique and never fails us. His mercies are new every morning because of His compassion.

Through the Lord’s mercies, we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. Lamentations 3:22.

Fail

When I first started writing my thesis for my degree, the teacher rejected my first draft. Had I not kept trying at the writing process, I would not have my Master’s Degree. Recently, suffering from writer’s block, I just stopped writing until I could put a few words together. When I was starting this series, I wanted to capture the beauty of God. As I write, my words are being blessed by my God.

Writer’s block is something that I struggle with, and at times I feel like I fail God and my readers. However, I write as God gives me the words, and sometimes when life is hard, I do not have the words.

We read that the Holy Spirit prays for us when we are troubled and can’t pray. So, beloved, Jesus tells us that He prays for us.

Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession [g]for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God. Romans 8: 26-27. KJV.

Success

Beloved, I have had more success than failure, but I have failed in life. I failed at times as a mom, as a wife, as a follower of Jesus. Yet, I am aware that failures bring change, and for that, I am thankful. I am grateful that God forgives me and that His mercy meets me when I need a fresh beginning. After all, His mercies are new every morning.

John F. Kennedy was a well-known president; I still remember where I was when he was assassinated. He says, ‘those who dare to fail miserably can achieve greatly.” So there’s a risk to trying something new, but there’s a greater reward if we try. We might fail, but we also might succeed.

Father God, thank you that you are with us when we fail and when we succeed.

And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose. Romans 8:28. KJV.
