28 Days of Loving God – Day 19

28 Days of Loving God – Day 19

Beloved, our word today is surviving–to survive is to continue to live or exist, especially despite danger or hardship. Survive is in the Bible twenty-eight times. Survival is something that I know about in my life. I’ve struggled most of my adult life with some hardship from pain, either migraines or joint pain. I’ve endured numerous surgeries, yet I have persevered with the help of the Lord. My motto in life is one foot in front of the other, and I can do all things through Christ, who gives me strength. Daily, I seek to provide him with honor and glory. A couple of years ago, I added 1 Corinthians 10:31 to my daily verses.

So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God. 1 Corinthians 10:31.

Sweet friend, we are called to do more than survive. The Apostle Paul teaches us to live each day to the fullest. He said to live is gain, and to die was gain. We should be a testimony of Jesus where ever we go. We see this in his testimony in Philippians 1

For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain. If I am to go on living in the body, this will mean fruitful labor for me. Yet what shall I choose? I do not know! I am torn between the two: I desire to depart and be with Christ, which is better by far; but it is more necessary for you that I remain in the body. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain, and I will continue with all of you for your progress and joy in the faith, so that through my being with you again your boasting in Christ Jesus will abound on account of me.

Life Worthy of the Gospel

Whatever happens, conduct yourselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ. Philippians 1: 21-27a. NIV.

So, it is more than surviving. It is living life to its fullest. Please take a moment to listen to this song, Glorius Day (Living He Loved Me) Live. Live today, sweet friend. Tell someone about Jesus. He Loves You, and he loves me. Sing Jesus Loves Me.

Father God, thank you for your redeeming love. In Jesus’s name. Amen
