30 Days of Thankfulness-Day 20

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; Philippians 4:6. NKJV

Beloved, do you struggle with anxiety or worry? The Apostle Paul instructs us not to be anxious about anything, and the way to handle anxiety is by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving; he then says, let your request be known to God.

Complete this sentence “I am anxious about __________.”

We can counter anxiety with thanksgiving and prayer. Worry is counterproductive, and God tells us not to worry. One of my favorite chapters in the Bible is Matthew 6. When a concern is inconsistent, God is consistent.  When fear invades your mind, God says fear not.

This verse is a cornerstone verse, one to write and memorize. It is a cornerstone to a firm foundation. Be anxious for nothing.

So, sweet friend, let’s start thanking God.

Father God, I am in awe of your mercy and grace. Thank you for your compassion and grace, in Jesus’s name, amen.

What are you thanking God for? Will you write out the above verse and memorize the verse.
