Greatest Gift as a Woman

Five-Minute Friday a time to write for five minutes and then link with some amazing writers.

The word is woman.

Woman

As a woman, I write this blog. I am thankful God created me to be a woman.

When I was twenty to thirty years old, my life’s consumed by trying to please God. Seeking God’s face in prayer, I cried out asking for a prayer to be answered. When I was forty to fifty years old, my life’s consumed by trying to please others. Seeking God’s face in prayer, I cried out asking for a prayer to be answered. Now I am in my sixties, my life’s consumed by pleasing God. Seeking God’s face in prayer, I cry out asking for a prayer to be answered.

As a woman, my greatest gift is to pray for others and myself. I’ve seen so many of my prayers answered. Do you have a prayer you have prayed that has not been answered?  So now I pray the prayer but I understand the other person has to cooperate with God for God to answer the prayer. But I ask, seek, and knock knowing God is sovereign.

What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s” (1 Corinthians 6: 19-20 KJV).

In that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God, to walk in his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, that thou mayest live and multiply: and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whither thou goest to possess it” (Deuteronomy 30:16 KJV).

Beautiful, beloved woman, what is God telling you? He is telling you to keep on praying because prayer changes you and helps you live with the choices made by others.

Rejoice evermore.  Pray without ceasing.  In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you”  (1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, KJV).
