Enjoy the Journey

We come to the end of this journey, a unique journey through the Psalms. I hope that you have enjoyed the journey. Enjoy is the word of the day. I enjoy many things, a hot cup of coffee with French Vanilla Creamer, a good book, lunch with a friend, my family and my friends, I really enjoy reading the Bible, praying, meeting God in the still quiet morning. Beloved, what do you enjoy.

Scripture

Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture. Psalm 37: 3

Read Psalm 150

Praise the Lord.[a]

Praise God in his sanctuary;
    praise him in his mighty heavens.
Praise him for his acts of power;
    praise him for his surpassing greatness.
Praise him with the sounding of the trumpet,
    praise him with the harp and lyre,
praise him with timbrel and dancing,
    praise him with the strings and pipe,
praise him with the clash of cymbals,
    praise him with resounding cymbals.

Let everything that has breath praise the Lord.

Praise the Lord.

Thoughts

I have so many Psalms that I enjoy. I have tried to share them. Many were chosen based on the word of the day. I would like to challenge you to read a Psalm a day, I am reading a portion of the Old Testament, New Testament, Psalm and Proverbs daily. But maybe you are new to the Bible, the Psalm is a good place to start. Psalm is in the middle of your Bible and there are one hundred fifty Psalms. I started with Psalm 1 where we are blessed and I end with Psalm 150 where we are to praise the Lord.

Beloved, God desires a relationship with each one of us. He desires to hear our thoughts in the form of prayer. He speaks to us through the Bible. In Psalm 119, the longest Psalm we encounter how important God’s word is. We see comfort in Psalm 23, we read about our crown in Psalm 103. We sing a new song in Psalm 100.

There are many books you can read but did you know that the Bible is the best seller year after year. There are 66 books and over 40 authors, some books we don’t know who the author is like the book of Hebrews. I am no scholar but I love God’s Word. The Holy Spirit indwells us as believers and He edifies God’s Word for us.

Will you hide God’s word in your heart? Will you treasure God’s Word this year? Will you read the entire Bible this year? Will you write out and memorize God’s Word this year. There are many scripture writing plans just check out Pinterest. My favorite site is Sweet Blessings at http://www.swtblessings.com/2020/01/.

However Love God Greatly is starting today a new plan on drawing near to God at LoveGodGreatly.com.

There is a new study at Proverbs31.org called TrustWorthy. It will be worth your time.

Or if you can go to a Bible Study Fellowship class, or go online and seek an online group.

Beloved, hear me, we need God, I love the verses in James 4:7-8.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

So how does this look, we just enter a relationship daily of submitting to God, read His Word, pray and look at the promises, the devil will flee and when we draw near to God He comes near to us.

I realize that when you read this that we are already seven days into the new year, but just start where you are grab your Bible and read. Blessings Sweet Friend.

Father God, you promise to draw near to us when we draw near to you. Oh Lord Bless each one of us. In Jesus name, Amen.

How are you going to honor God today with your life?
