31 Day Writings

Adventure is Everlasting

Beloved, the dusty road I live on has wild flowers, Queen Anne’s Lace are my favorites. Additionally, cows live on our road. Daily I see rabbits, and sometimes a deer or two. Oftentimes the dust chokes the air, you see, we could use rain. Daily as I travel my road having earlier invited Jesus to go with me, I often wonder what challengies and opportunties I will encounter.

Our word today is everlasting. The definition of everlasting is lasting forever or a very long time. The word everlasting is in the Bible 61 times. One of my favorite verses in the Bible is Jeremiah 31:3.  The prophet Jeremiah shares in 31:3,  “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

Thoughts

God established a covenant with us as an everlasting covenant in Genesis. He had destroyed the world with a flood and had promised Abraham that he would not do this again.

I will establish my covenant as an everlasting covenant between me and you and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you.” Genesis 17:7.

When we accept Jesus as our Savior we are a part of that covenant family. Once we accept Jesus, our eternal destination is secure. You see, beloved, we have everlasting love from God.

But from everlasting to everlasting the Lord’s love is with those who fear him, and his righteousness with their children’s children—Psalm 103:7.

Have you accepted the everlasting love of God? It is so important to share with others.

Daily

As I left today on my dusty road today, I was filled with awe, first a rabbit and then a deer. I love that I start my day with God and am blessed by nature on my way to the hospital. Today, I walked 4,500 steps in the hospital. I had prepared my heart with a passage of scripture John 4: 4-26

I am reading Rest For Your Soul by Wendy Blight, she writes in her book, that the soul thirst and oftentimes we drink from the wrong well. What are you thirsting for? She teaches about Silence, Solitude. and Prayer. The importance of each in the life of the believer.

Since I last blogged, I have prayed with many, I met a sweet man and together we shared the love of Jesus with a nurse. Today, I prayed with a mother of a young woman and we bonded over our love for our adult children.

Prayer

Father God, thank you for the dusty road I am on, thank you for the adventure. More importantly, Lord, you love the one reading this blog. If she is hurting, would she turn to you. Lord if there is panic, replace it with peace. Lord, if there is pain, let there be healing. Thank you for using me daily to share the love of God with others. In Jesus’s name, Amen.

Who is Jesus asking you to witness on your dusty road?

Which of these verses will you memorize?
