Beloved, the dusty road I live on is a windy road full of twists and turns, one must climb a hill, Sometimes in life, one feels like she is climbing a hill. In our verse today the word I want to focus on is mind. The definition of mind is the element of a person that enables them to be aware of the world and their experiences, to think, and to feel; the faculty of consciousness and thought. Mind in is the Bible 163 times.
Thoughts
The prophet Isaiah instructed, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You. Because she trusts in You.” Isaiah 26″3
Depending on the hill you are climbing this verse is the perfect verse whether you are going up the hill or sliding down the hill. The road may be full of rocks and pebbles or it could be paved.
This week, a floater broke loose in my right eye, it is like a spider floating in the peripheral vision. After going to the doctor, it is the hazard of growing old. The good news is there is no retina tear.
So, sweet friend, how do we keep our minds set on Him? I am making a concentrated effort to memorize God’s word.
“You will keep Diana in perfect peace,
whose mind is stayed on you.
Because Diana trusts
in You. Isaiah 26:3
In her book, Rest For Your Soul, Wendy Blight recommends to personalize scripture, and to learn it by phrases. to practice it, to write it until the verse is memorized. She has memorized over forty verses. Another mentor Becky Tirabassi, has written her prayers and read the Bible daily for over thirty years.
Whether the hill you are climbing is health issues or personal family problems, God is with you.
Prayer
Father God,
Today is the day when I will invite you on my dusty road. I invite you to travel with me as I trust you with my health issues. Lord, I pray for my sisters-in-Christ that are coping with cancer, Jesus is bigger that cancer. Lord, I pray for the ones who are struggling with the feeling of being lonely, Jesus is the best friend to have. Lord, I pray for unsaved family members and for members of our family that are estranged may someone point them to you. Lord, may each person reading this know that on the windy hilly dusty road that you will keep her in perfect peace. In Jesus’s name. Amen.

I too am memorizing scripture and making it personal with my name. Do not, Lisa, be anxious for anything, but in every situation, Lisa, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, Lisa, make your requests known to God.And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, Lisa, will guard your heart and your mind in Christ Jesus.
