Beloved, on the dusty road with Jesus we encounter the truth of God and we contemplate his word.
Three weeks ago, I finished studying the book of Revelation with Bible Study Fellowship and a group of women online. I highly recommend Bible Study Fellowship and Love God Greatly for study of God’s word.
Sweet friends, we read in the Bible that Jesus is Truth.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
In the book of Revelation, Truth is predominant. Truth is in the Bible 163 times, starting in Genesis.
The opposite of truth is a lie, and we are introduced to the father of lies in Genesis 3. Satan is the serpent who tempts Eve, and he is evil. However, in the book of Revelation, he is defeated.
However, how do we overcome the lies of the world now. We contemplate God’s word and memorize his word. I have been memorizing, “In the beginning God created everything: the heavens above and the earth below.” Genesis 1:3
I am studying the names of God during the break from Bible Study Fellowship, and I am writing God’s word.
Beloved, God is creator, He is known as Elohim. In John 1:1-3
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning. 3 All things were created through him, and apart from him not one thing was created that has been created.
We are God’s workmanship as stated in Ephesians 2:10.
For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared ahead of time for us to do.”
God as Elohim a name that reflects him as creator. Beloved we are his masterpiece. A piece of art. No one else has your fingerprint. Each one of us have our name. How did you get your name?
You were created by God. The very breath of God created man from the dust of the ground. You were chosen to be a fearfully wonderfully made person by God as we read in Psalm 139.
Sweet friend, I meet so many on the dusty road of Jesus. At the hospital, I’ve the opportunity to pray. Usually, no one refuses prayer. Last weekend a man quoted Hebrews 11:1 and I was most thankful that I could say that verse with him. You see, Jesus came to seek and save who is lost. Luke 19:10. The truth is that Jesus wins, His truth trumps Satan. We are loved with an everlasting love. When we know the truth, the truth sets us free. However, we must stand and contemplate the truth.
My friend Karen L. Clark wrote this poem. I hope you enjoy.
Contemplation
Karen L Clark
Let us sit awhile
and contemplate
About our God
and how He is so Great!
He made our earth
by His own Hands
Such beautiful scenes
In our many lands
None the same
wherever you go
But each very intricate
their beauty aglow
Look up to the sky
the clouds are a treat
It’s where Jesus will come
the place we will meet
He will carry us in
to a beautiful new place
There we will live forever
We’ll finally see His face
We’ll praise God forever
We know He is Great!
Lord Jesus, come soon
It’s this we contemplate!

To contemplate is to look at or think about and the word contemplate is in the Bible three times. In Psalm 48: 9, “God, within your temple, we contemplate your faithful love.” Another verse is Psalm 119:18, ” Open my eyes so that I may contemplate wondrous things from your instruction.” Lastly, in Plasm 119: 95, “The wicked hope to destroy me, but I contemplate your decrees.
Beloved, may you contemplate on the truth of God as Elohim. The creator of everything. Jesus loves you.
Father God, we praise you and thank you for all the blessings. Thank you for being our creator. You alone are worthy of our praise. Thank you for your word and for the truth we read in the Bible. Lord, many need healing, would you heal them. Many need to contemplate and spend time in your word, send the Holy Spirit to give them hope. Many need your love, would you provide for them financially, mentally, and spiritually. In Jesus’s name
What is God asking you to do in response to this post?
What are you reading in the Bible?
