Open Book

Introduction

Are you an open book? Am I an open book?

What brings you joy? Scripture brings me joy! I love God’s Word. Choosing this verse to focus on brings thoughts on my testimony.

Am I an open book? Over the years, I have shared much of my testimony. God’s testimony is declared in the Bible. What is your testimony?

There are many facets to my testimony just like when you look into a diamond that sparkles.

Psalm 199 14

Scripture

I have rejoiced in the way of thy testimonies, as much as in all riches. Psalm 119: 14.

My Thoughts

Psalm 119 is the longest chapter in the Bible. I have spent many months contemplating Psalm 119 and the different verses.

I want to end this study looking at a few specific verses. As we look at this verse, the Psalmist is declaring his love for God.

According to Biblegateway.com, testimony is used 73 times. The word testimonies 26 times. 21 times in Psalm 119 alone.

Beloved, where do you see the testimonies of God?

Blessed are they that keep his testimonies, and that seek him with the whole heart. Psalm 119:2

Do you seek God with your whole heart?

Thy testimonies also are my delight and my counselors. Psalm 119: 24.

Sweet One, do you proclaim God and not feel shame?

I will speak of thy testimonies also before kings, and will not be ashamed. Psalm 119: 46

Do you respect God?

Let those that fear thee turn unto me, and those that have known thy testimonies. Psalm 119: 79.

Are you God’s servant?

I am thy servant; give me understanding, that I may know thy testimonies. Psalm 119: 125

How do you proclaim God’s righteousness?

The righteousness of thy testimonies is everlasting: give me understanding, and I shall live. Psalm 119: 144.

When was the last time you cried out to God?

I cried unto thee; save me, and I shall keep thy testimonies. Psalm 119: 146.

Will you proclaim your love for God’s testimonies?

My soul hath kept thy testimonies; and I love them exceedingly. Psalm 119: 167.

Conclusion

My testimony is not all roses, I have sinned but I can share God’s forgiveness. As I have grown older, I care that my testimony reflects God and His faithfulness.

God’s testimony is one of grace, mercy, and love. He is faithful.

Father God, may we be brave to share the many testimonies of your love. Lord I see you in the creation and in the eyes of babies, I see your majesty in wildflowers. Most of all, I hear you whisper my name in Your Word. You are faithful, may we bring our desires, and cares to you. May we be faithful to reading Your testimonies. In Jesus’ name Amen.
