Search Me God

write31days_diana_18

“Search me O God,” these words are found in Psalm 139.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts:

And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting. Psalm 139:23-24.

King David asks God to search him, to know his heart, to try him, to know his thoughts, to see if there is any wickedness in him, and to lead him in the everlasting ways of God.

When was the last time you asked God to search you? God is omniscient. God knows our thoughts before they come out of our mouths. Additionally, we need to take our thoughts captive to the Lord before they harm anyone and the first person the thoughts can harm are you. This was so important there is a verse that says to take your thoughts captive.

Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;” 2 Corinthians 10: 5.

I’m in a new place and my thoughts have not been pure being here, I’ve got to share that my thoughts have been about why me. But today is a new day, I’m asking God to search me, grow me, and let me grow where He Has me.

Father God, I praise You, You are the alpha, the omega, the beginning and the end. I praise You and that You alone are worthy of my praise. You are my King. You are my Lord and Savior. I love You, Lord. In Jesus’ name, I ask You to search me and know me. Amen.

Will you ask God to search you today?
