Trust Your Gut

As women, we are blessed. Do you listen to your gut? This is sometimes called intuition. Intuition is defined as a thing that one knows or considers likely from instinctive feeling rather than conscious reasoning.

My mother had a strong intuition. She would forwarn me of things and most of the time she was right.

Have you ever been at the right place at the right time and good fortune came your way?

In the Bible, we see the casting of lots to determine things such as service and who would win Jesus’ clothes when he was crucified.

“Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles.” Acts 1:26 KJV.

“When they had crucified him, they divided up his clothes by castinglots.” Matthew 27:35 KJV.

Beloved, my mom forwarned me that a certain boy would break my heart, and even though I thought differently the young man broke my heart.

Many times in my career as a nurse, I had a gut feeling about something and I was right.

Today, in these uncertain times, we need to trust God with our very lives. Walking in faith, reading God’s word, praying to God, these things allow us to trust God.

“And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, Thisisthewaywalk ye init, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.” Isaiah 30:21 KJV.

Beloved, listen to that small still voice.

Father God, thank you for directing our steps and keeping us safe in these uncertain times. We trust you, In Jesus’ name. Amen.

When was the last time you heard that small still voice?
