By Silvanus, a faithful brother unto you, as I suppose, I have written briefly, exhorting, and testifying that this is the true grace of God wherein ye stand. 1 Peter 5:12.
I struggle doing anything briefly. My mom would say anything worth doing is worth doing it right the first time. So to do something briefly would perhaps do it not as good if one spent more time on the project.
Say a brief prayer, write a brief post, to do this is to imply it is short and concise.
Jesus had a brief life, He did not grow old, because He accomplished all He needed to do in His brief life. One might say His life was cut short. One might say we were cheated when He did not grow old, but He accomplished all He needed in brief time He was alive.
He told his disciples that He was going away to prepare a place for them and He would send a comforter once He was gone. There is nothing brief about the Holy Spirit, He indwells us.
In brevity, tell your story.
Father God, thank You for Jesus and the Holy Spirit, I stand amazed in the presence of Jesus Christ. I’m in awe of all Jesus did in His short, brief, life. I love you, Lord.
