Beloved, today, our word is land. The land is in the Bible over 1,700 times and is defined simply as a country. In this verse in Deuteronomy 18:6,
“When you enter the land which the Lord your God is giving you, you shall not learn to [a]imitate the detestable things of those nations.
There are instructions not to imitate what is happening in the land. Recently, a revival held at a college has brought much attention to a time when people have come together and are recommitting their lives to Jesus.
Beloved, one thing that caused me to stop and reflect on the act of revival was the unrelenting joy that you could see in the faces of the believers. It was as if the very soul of every person had personally been in touch with the Holy Spirit.
But He knows the way I take; When He has put me to the test, I will come out as gold. My foot has held on to His path; I have kept His way and not turned aside, Job 23: 10-11
Revival, what land is God asking you to possess? To take by storm. Is your witness strong? Do people know you read your Bible? Do they count on you to pray?
Revival starts when we enter the land God has given us–it may be where we work or go to school.
Prayer
Father God,
Revival starts with me. Please help me to be bold to proclaim your love. In Jesus’s name. Amen.
