Go Tell It On A Mountain

Go Tell It On a Mountain is the first thing I thought of when this word Tell is the word of the day. The definition of tell is communicate information, facts, or news to someone in spoken or written words. Tell is in the Bible 218 times.

Have you ever had to tell someone some news, good news like I am going to have a baby, or bad news like you are ill.

Mary the mother of Jesus was given news that was shocking yet she accepts the news from the angel Gabriel.

John the Baptist tells the news that Jesus Christ is coming. In Matthew we are told to tell the news of Jesus in Jerusalem, Judea, and all Samaria.

Tell

Scripture

Psalm 147

He telleth the number of the stars; he calleth them all by their names. Psalm 147: 4

Thoughts

King David writes this Psalm. I love how he praises God for all He has done and all that He is. Can you imagine, King David playing a harp and singing to the God of creation.

He claims the promises that God heals. God does prevail. King David declares God is so good in verse 5.

Great is our Lord, and of great power: his understanding is infinite. Psalm 147: 5.

Read about His mercy.

The Lord taketh pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in his mercy. Psalm 147: 11.

Will you praise God with me?

Conclusion

Father God, let my life be filled with praise. Open your word to me so I can tell others. Help me to tell others of your love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Who will you tell about the love of Jesus?
