31 Day Writings

The Whole Truth

write31days_27_diana

This comes to my mind when you mention the word whole, two parts make a whole. Will you tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth so help you God?

And it came to pass, as Aaron spake unto the whole congregation of the children of Israel, that they looked toward the wilderness, and, behold, the glory of the Lord appeared in the cloud. Exodus 16:10.

The Israelites were a motley crew. They complained before the Lord about being slaves, then when they were rescued they complained about the circumstances. When Moses was up on the mountain with God, they convinced Aaron that they needed a god and so he made the golden calf. They complained so much that the whole group of them did not get to enter the promised land, their children, Joshua and Caleb were the only ones to enter the whole promised land.

How are you doing with the whole gospel? Is there a part that you don’t like to read. Beloved, we need to embrace the whole Bible. God’s word is true.

Father God, bless us with an understanding of the whole gospel. Let us not forsake the reading of your word. I am in awe of your majesty and I praise you for your faithfulness. In Jesus name, Amen.

How often do you read God’s word? Do you embrace God’s word as the truth, the whole truth?
