What Door has God Opened For You?

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. Revelation 3:20.

Beloved, what door are you needing to knock? What door are you needing to open? Jesus in the above verse stands and knocks on the believer’s heart and He is waiting for you to receive Him. Have you received Jesus as your savior?

There are 239 Bible references with the word door. A door is a barrier for protection. We lock our doors to protect ourselves.

I remember when we lived close to a bar in Dodge City, Kansas. My mom had not locked the door because she was waiting for my brother to come home. She was tired so when she heard the door open and the person comes into her room, thinking it was my brother, she keeps her eyes closed. This person doesn’t say anything but goes to leave the house. When my mom hears the person leaving, thinking it is my brother, she asks where he is going. The man then speaks and says how sorry he is, he is in the wrong house.

If my mom had opened her eyes, she would have been screaming.

We lock our doors, but when someone knocks we unlock the door and invite the person into the house. God is knocking at the door of our hearts waiting to be invited in. He is not a stranger, He is a safe person to open the door to.

Father God, let me be wise about who I open the door too, but let me always open the door of my heart to you. Make me sensitive to those who need me to open the door of my heart and to help. Help the woman who may be hurting from trusting someone. In Jesus name, Amen

God is knocking, will you open the door to Him? How can you open the door of your heart?
